How to Read a Fused Silica COA

A fused silica COA is the document for a stated lot. It is not the same document as a typical datasheet. Read it against the grade, the form and the impurity limits your process already uses. Keep it with the receiving record.
Check that the COA identifies the material
Confirm that the COA names the grade, the form, such as sand, grain or powder, and the lot. A report that does not identify the lot cannot be filed against a receiving record. The outline of chemical analysis shows the chemical items buyers usually look for on that document.
Compare SiO2 and the impurities you limit
Read SiO2 and the impurities your process limits. Those items may include Fe2O3, Al2O3, Na2O, K2O, MgO, CaO and magnetic material where the plant has limits. Typical A Grade and B Grade ranges are guides only. The number printed on the COA is the result offered for that lot.
Do not treat the datasheet as the lot result
A typical datasheet describes a usual range. It is not the assay of the bags in the incoming shipment. File the COA with the receiving record so a later question can be traced to the lot. The notes on incoming quality checks describe where that record sits in the incoming checks.
A COA does not replace your acceptance test
A COA supports the purchase file. It does not replace the buyer's own acceptance test when the plant requires one. Use typical technical data only as background for typical physical and chemical figures. Judge the lot by the COA and by the internal method.
Shenzhen Zhixin New Materials Co., Ltd. can discuss grade and lot against an inquiry that also states particle size, quantity and destination. Send those items together with the limits you will check on the COA.
